The magnificent British countryside awaits us as we enter the Scottish Border and Northern England’s regions of North Yorkshire and Cumbria. After our successful hiking trips to the Cotswolds and Lake District we hope you will join us as we explore the Southern Lowlands of Scotland followed by the beautiful Lake District and Northern East Coast of England. The Lake District has twelve of England's largest lakes and is truly one of the country's breathing spaces. Along the coast we will take in the scenery and explore castle ruins and visit the ancient fortified monastery at Lindisfarne.
Our trip includes accommodation at traditional country homes renovated into hotels. Being traditional houses, bedrooms are not all the same size and decor / amenities are simpler. Each HF house is equipped for outdoor activities with a boot and drying room and a lounge and bar. The chance will be to mingle with other hikers/walkers and have the opportunity to enjoy some free time visiting the surroundings and absorb the lifestyle. Each hiking day you will be provided with a picnic lunch. In addition to our Canadian tour escort, you will have the services of a seasoned and professional hiking guide willing to share their knowledge with you. Our rates for this small group journey are truly inclusive and space is strictly limited to 18 members.
