Today we discover the historic heart of Cape Town. Our tour begins with a walk through the Company’s Garden before visiting St. George’s Cathedral, known for its role in the resistance against apartheid. We then explore the colourful homes of the Bo-Kaap district. After lunch, we ascend Table Mountain by cable car (weather permitting) for sweeping views of Cape Town.

This morning we journey into the heart of the Winelands and the historic town of Stellenbosch, where oak-lined streets and Cape Dutch architecture reflect the region’s heritage. At a local wine estate, we enjoy a cellar tour, tasting and lunch before making our way to Franschhoek to visit the Huguenot Monument.

Our drive east takes us through the spectacular scenery of the Little Karoo via Barrydale. We visit the award-winning De Krans Estate for a port wine tasting before continuing to Oudtshoorn, known for its 19th-century ostrich trade.

Departing early, we travel east along the coast from Tsitsikamma to Port Elizabeth. From there, we fly to Durban and continue to Umhlanga.

Our day begins with a short orientation tour of Durban before we travel north to St Lucia, gateway to the UNESCO-listed iSimangaliso Wetland Park. After lunch, we take a boat cruise through the estuary, known for its birdlife, hippos and crocodiles. Our drive continues into the heart of Zululand.

MKUZE GAME RESERVE

Today we enjoy our first game drive, exploring Mkuze Game Reserve in open 4x4 vehicles in search of zebras, wildebeest, elephants and other wildlife. This afternoon is free to relax at our resort, followed by dinner and a presentation of Zulu dances.

ESWATINI

We cross into the Kingdom of Eswatini, one of the last remaining absolute monarchies in the world. A scenic drive through the countryside includes a stop at a roadside market before continuing to the Ezulwini Valley for lunch.

Early this morning we drive towards Kruger National Park, one of Africa’s largest game reserves. We cross the park by coach, keeping watch for wildlife along the way.

VICTORIA FALLS, ZIMBABWE

A short flight brings us to Victoria Falls, one of the world’s most impressive waterfalls, stretching nearly 1.7 kilometres wide and plunging more than 100 metres. This afternoon, we set out on a guided walk along the falls, taking in views of the Main Falls, Devil’s Cataract and Danger Point.

CHOBE NATIONAL PARK, BOTSWANA
