A GOOD FIRST
AID KIT
Every
traveller should carry a First Aid kit – whether they are going to the
cottage for the weekend or venturing to the wilds of Africa. What you
carry will depend on where you are going.
Some of the items that you
should consider including:
Travel medications – for the trip you
are taking
Stomach helpers – antacids, Gravol (for motion
sickness), Fiber supplements, laxatives & diarrhea medication
Cold
medication (decongestants, throat lozenges, etc)
Skin creams
–insect repellent, antibiotic, anti-fungal, sunscreen
Hand
sanitizers &/or antiseptic wipes
Bandages – band-aids, tensor
bandage, sterile gauze, tape
Prescriptions drugs in original
packaging
Other things you might consider including:
Vitamins
you would normally take
Disposable non-latex gloves
Scissors,
tweezers & safety pins
Thermometer
Single use ice packs

MAJESTIC INSIDE PASSAGE
It has
been said that those who choose to live in Alaska truly understand the
meaning of inner peace. This is a place where one only needs to step
outside and take in the view to feel a calm, serene feeling take hold; a
majestic mountain, a cool mountain stream, the bluest water and
glaciers too incredible to describe.
Now, with the ever-present
effects of global warming, there is an urgency to visit and experience
the beauty of Alaska and its glaciers, sooner rather than later. No
